amped for easter

I'm really looking forward to Easter this year. Usually it kinda sneaks up and takes me by surprise and I think afterwards of all the fun things I could have done to celebrate this very special event, but not this year! Oh no, it's already Easter in our little apartment, as I've been trying out some cupcake designs for the cupcake decorating afternoon we're planning on Easter Saturday. Here's a sneak peek of what has been a source of creative therapy after coming home from three-hour chemistry lectures and labs! The little pink rose on purple fondant is Bakerella inspired.
I've also had fun following Bakerella on her trip to visit Pioneer Woman, two blog geniuses I've been stalking recently... "blog therapy" to help me keep my sanity after hours and hours of chemistry (I know, you're thinking so that's what they're calling procrastination these days, huh :) In all my blog travels I came across a wonderful duo who got to go on the trip with Bakerella. Stefanie and Colleen started a company selling tees, called Wild Olive. Love their stuff, incorporating scripture into some very cool designs. Stefanie has a cool story too -- she and her husband have adopted four kids from China and have a heart for kids with special needs. It's been fun to "meet" such interesting people and get inspired, I love the world of blogging.

Now back to some more Easter prep!
