Part of the reason for my recent blogging absence has been due to my having gingerbread on the brain these past few weeks. We had our second annual ladies' gingerbread house making event at New Church on Saturday so it's been all about gingerbread! Between about 8 of us bakers, we made 45 gingerbread houses, and 20 kiddies' graham cracker houses, and then some of our husbands were recruited to make icing on the day...sorry, guys! The Lord blessed our efforts and it was exciting to see the event grow to 38 ladies and 20 kids this year, with a number of families coming from the community. A really fun time!
