a visit from oz!

This weekend we had my cousin David come and visit all the way from Australia. It meant a lot to see him, especially having not seen any of my family for over 2 years. Here's us at Fisherman's Wharf, with Alcatraz in the distance, and tasting champagne at Korbel.

And some of the love David brought from everyone back home. Here's us with some gorgeous African cushion covers (sent from South Africa via my Dad and then via David in Oz), and a beautiful tablecloth with Aboriginal art design and wine glass rings from my aunty, uncle and cousins in Perth. He fitted all this into his already crammed hand luggage!
The goodbyes were hard, as I'm sure you can imagine, but we were so touched that he came to see us and felt the deep care of my family with his visit.
